Turkey extends condolences to Bosnia over nursing home fire

(MENAFN) Türkiye extended its condolences to Bosnia and Herzegovina on Wednesday following a tragic fire at a nursing home that claimed nearly a dozen lives.

In a statement, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said, “We are deeply saddened by the loss of lives caused by the fire that broke out yesterday (4 November) at a nursing home in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. We wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives and extend our condolences to the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina.”

The blaze erupted on the seventh floor of the facility in Tuzla, killing 11 residents and injuring multiple individuals, including police officers, firefighters, and medical staff, as reported by local authorities. Firefighters managed to bring the fire under control after several hours, and investigations into its cause are currently underway.
